Now, don't get me wrong here -- I think Uggs are terrific. Warm, comfy and even stylish sometimes. But I have a pet peeve that really needs to be aired. I discussed this on facebook a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't get no satisfaction....
Uggs and short shorts.
I think they look really silly. I posted a comment on facebook that said something to the effect -- "Uggs and short shorts, ick! snow already." Alisa said, "Uggs + short shorts = bad in any weather!" Well, it has snowed a bit here since that post and so I thought we were done with the Uggs and short shorts -- but NO, now it is Uggs and short shorts and LEGGINGS!!! What are they thinking?!!? Now I am officially old.

ReplyDeleteThe shorts+Uggs+leggings combo that I saw included WHITE LEGGINGS. And they were somewhat transparent. Like a pantyhose/tights/leggings hybrid or something. It was horriculous! (horrible AND ridiculous)

I'm Going to have to go against my sisters here....I happen to fancy uggs.....I know your problem is not with Uggs but with the combination of Uggs and short shorts.... Well you see, uggs are so cool and deadly expensive because they keep your feet warm in the winter AND cool in the summer. Perhaps this is why they are being warn with short shorts. I think its cute. If i had uggs i would probably wear them with short shorts.....for now i will stick with the flip flops. But really my issue is with your comment about leggings and shorts. That is actually my favorite fashion trend right now, but i like them with the cute little flats that are so popular.... u should try it....You are not old sister just maybe a little more clothing conservative. :) I'm doing laundry and wasting time on this blob so sorry everyone who just read this absolutly pointless blog about leggings and Uggs. Give my love to they boys.....LOVE YOU SISTER!!!!! Adios ♥

ReplyDeletewell i just read this to david and could bearly finish reading it because i busted up laughing at tita's comment. not that she fell but at all of us looking at her in shock like "what do we do now?" i dont know who actually picked her up i just remember it took us a while. sorry Gloria. as for the uggs short shorts and leggings...count me as an old lady cuz i think it must be a fashion statement that only someone in their early 20's MAY be able to get away with. have a good one!
