Gophers. WHAT??!? Gophers.
It all started with a $250 water bill. Hmmm. Our Norman water bill is usually around 50 bucks. Then came a letter from the city that said, "Call a plummer! You probably have a leak." Well, we found the leak... the repair man arrived at 7:30 this morning with the news, the gophers, yes gophers ATE one of our sprinkler lines. Are there any more lines left in either of our houses that are yet to be cut, eaten, or leak? I think this is the last of them....knock on wood (or this pressed particle material that is my desk).

Oh my gosh that is too funny! Gophers! no joke but one of the summers I spent at New Mexico Tech one of the profs had patented a spray or something like that to put in/on plastic pipes to keep rodents from eating through them....the magic ingredient that keeps them away?...RED CHILI!! No joke! Good ole NM red chili keeps those critters in their place. I guess they can’t handle the hot stuff. Who knows maybe you should water your grass w a little red chili :) but you know the stuff is just too good to waste like that. Have a good day!
